Responsibilities:
Strongly serving the product owner and engineering team in the quest to deliver high value business facing applications.
Excellent ability to code using Angular 2, Google Material Design, JavaScript and REST.
Develop, test, and deploy responsive web applications using modern web technologies.
Technical depth that allows you to rapidly fix bugs and solve problems.
Experience working closely across a variety of teams including product management, interaction design, customer care and engineering.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate web applications with Java, Quarkus, and SingleStore-based backend services.
Experience building cloud-native web applications preferable on GCP.
Collaborate with designers to create user-friendly interfaces ensuring consistent and intuitive UX/UI across the applications
Optimize web applications for performance and security, following best practices in front-end development.
A detailed approach to writing tests and quality assurance
An eye for automation, to get stuck in and do what is necessary for the smooth operation of the team (then automate it).
Developing a UI component library - Build for re-use and utilizing an evolving design-system.
Experience of network/bandwidth-constrained environments such as the East African market, is a plus.
