Position:  Senior Project Manager

 Location: Gurgaon OR Remote

*This role requires Core Work Hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST (will change as per daylight saving in US). The remaining hours are completed at individual discretion.*

The Senior Project Manager is an experienced, senior level project management professional with experience coordinating and delivering complex technical products and solutions in their specific functional area.  The Senior Project Manager collaborates with their Product, Design and Engineering peers to own the delivery lifecycle of WeatherBug product initiatives.  They will be closely engaged with the execution teams and actively participate with oversight on scheduling, management of dependencies, and orchestration of cross-functional engineering teams to successfully launch new products and solutions. They are strong communicators, comfortable in technical conversations, and take ownership of decisions informed by constraints in time, scope, budget, and staffing resources.
You will:

  • Work in close partnership with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to deliver complex technical products and solutions;
  • Own and orchestrate work breakdown, sequencing, task assignment, and scheduling of multiple work streams required for delivery of those initiatives;
  • Organize and maintain a calendar with dependencies to keep engineering teams unblocked and on schedule;
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to manage dependencies with Product Managers and Engineering teams;
  • Own detail-level design deliverables (in close partnership with our Design team) to provide functional specs for development;
  • Take ownership of value engineering initiatives to deliver cost-conscious solutions;
  • Iterate on existing solutions to provide continued maintenance/monitoring of key products;
  • Manage customer beta periods and lead rollouts for successful delivery;
  • Facilitate meetings such as Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning

You have:

A Bachelors or Masters degree with 10+ years of experience managing large, enterprise-level projects in mobile and web software development.  Advanced degree, PMP certification, or relevant experience in Project Management, Agile/Scrum, and/or Team Leadership are a plus.

  • Demonstrated positive business impact by delivering projects on time and on budget;
  • Successfully worked across multiple engineering teams to deliver cross-functional products and solutions;
  • Actively collaborated with business stakeholders to scope large-scale product deliveries.
  • Experience working in a global, remote-first environment and managing distributed teams is a plus.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Gantt chart, and other project management and collaboration tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data-driven consumer applications is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of customer-centric design and delivery, with experience managing consumer-facing products.
