The Senior Product Specialist is responsible for product line sales, identifying market opportunities, generating demand, providing customer support, and ensuring technical solutions meet client needs.

- Responsible for achieving product line AOP for the assigned geography
- Identify opportunities within the geographical territory for the assigned product mix and progress through the sales process to closure in order to meet or exceed revenue and margin targets
- Generate demand for the assigned product portfolio and the greater Perkin value proposition, by proactively engaging the customer base and by providing superior customer experience
- Educate, connect and develop the customer base by ensuring all mutually beneficial business opportunities are explored in a timely and professional way
- Ensure feedback including win/loss reasons, competitor intelligence and market knowledge is provided to the Product Management and broader sales teams
- Establishes the pre-sales support strategy basis for current and prospective clients.
- Have a strong understanding of the customer's requirements and application needs on a technical level, to ensure the most suitable solution is proposed
- Works with Business Units, vendors, partners, and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers.
- Develops processes and systems to provide quick yet thorough response to customer Requests For Proposal.
- Provides pre-sales support and systems configuration recommendations.
- Develops and applies methods, theories and research techniques to provide solutions to technical problems.
- Commission and train on product where relevant to maximize customer satisfaction and promoter score
- Resolve customer technical issues post-sale promptly and courteously
- Conduct product demonstrations, seminars and participate in customer engagement activities as required to support the growth strategy
- Close liaison with the Account Management team to work hand-in-hand on more specialized or larger opportunities requiring support from suppliers and/or our own manufacturing facilities
- Attend training events as required to ensure skills are maintained up-to-date and relevant for maximum benefit to the customer
