The Role
We seek a results‑oriented Senior Product Manager on the Retirement team to both strengthen the experience of our existing Morningstar Plan Advantage (MPA) clients and shape the future evolution of the platform. MPA enables advisors and home offices to manage their retirement plan business through a modern, intuitive interface, and your role will be pivotal in elevating how our current clients use and benefit from it.
In this position, you will serve as a strategic partner to our established MPA clients by deeply understanding their workflows, uncovering pain points, and translating those insights into meaningful enhancements that drive satisfaction, retention, and long‑term partnership. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, design, and engineering teams to continuously refine MPA's core capabilities and ensure that our delivery aligns with the evolving needs of current and future clients, including Retirement Plan providers, Broker Dealers, and Retirement Advisors.
At the same time, you will play a critical role in shaping MPA's future. This includes championing client‑driven insights, pushing the team to imagine new experiences and applying AI-first thinking that advance advisor productivity and client outcomes.
Success in this role requires strong relationship management, clear communication across all levels of the organization, and the ability to build trusted partnerships-both with our clients and internal teams.
This position is based in Mumbai.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Morningstar's Fiduciary Solutions, including Morningstar Plan Advantage (MPA) and traditional fiduciary services.
  • Deeply understand client workflows and pain points, translating insights into product enhancements that strengthen satisfaction, retention, and overall client value.
  • Strengthen strategic client partnerships by proactively identifying opportunities to improve client satisfaction, retention, and adoption.
  • Refine and evolve MPA's core capabilities by collaborating closely with business stakeholders, design, and engineering teams.
  • Champion client-driven insights throughout the product development process and ensure product decisions are grounded in real client needs.
  • Drive effective execution across cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality product improvements on time and with measurable impact.
  • Relentlessly curious about AI and the future of products, continuously learning, prototyping, and challenging teams to thoughtfully integrate AI into product strategy and execution.
  • Apply AI‑first thinking to transform recurring client enhancement requests into scalable product improvements, leveraging AI to design smarter, faster, and more impactful solutions that directly address client needs.
  • Engage with the retirement industry and client community to proactively research, identify, and continuously inform product strategy.
  • Support go‑to‑market teams and sales opportunities by providing product expertise and contributing to client engagement activities.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant product management experience
  • Strong knowledge of product development, lifecycle, and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of the retirement industry is required
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to juggle multiple responsibilities and stakeholders to get things done. Work with internal stakeholders and tech members on design & implementation, with clients on gathering their needs, and doing what it takes "roll up sleeve" to get innovative solutions to market.
