The Role: Senior Product Manager – Insurance
This isn’t just another product role — it’s about building the future of digital insurance in India.
As Senior Product Manager – Insurance, you’ll lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our insurance offerings — spanning Life, Health, and General insurance. You’ll work at the intersection of user experience, insurer partnerships, and regulatory frameworks to deliver trustworthy, scalable, and delightful insurance products.
You’ll influence not just product design but also how Upstox becomes a go-to platform for insurance in India.
What You’ll Own
Vision & Strategy: Define the long-term insurance product strategy aligned with Upstox’s mission and business goals.
Insurance Roadmap: Own the roadmap from discovery to claims — simplifying every step of the customer journey.
Partnership Leadership: Collaborate with insurers and external partners to design competitive, customer-first offerings.
Growth & Funnels: Drive adoption, optimize conversion funnels, and enhance retention across multiple insurance categories.
Customer Experience: Champion user needs and deliver intuitive, transparent, and reliable digital insurance experiences.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Align and drive execution across design, engineering, compliance, marketing, and operations.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Ensure all features meet IRDAI and compliance standards while maintaining agility.
Data-Backed Decisions: Use research, analytics, and experimentation to inform decisions and scale successful initiatives.
Who You Are
7–10 years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years in Insurance
Deep understanding of insurance products, customer behavior, and distribution models
Strong track record of building and scaling B2C digital products
Skilled in driving partnerships with insurers and external stakeholders
Data-driven with excellent problem-solving, experimentation, and execution skills
Proven ability to balance regulatory alignment with user-first product thinking
Excellent communicator who can influence, align, and inspire teams across functions
Management degree from a premier institute preferred
