Role Purpose
The Senior Product Manager – Reimbursement & Strategic Accounts is accountable for creating sustainable patient access to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s Oncology, Immunology, and CNS portfolios through public and institutional reimbursement channels.
The role also carries a transformation mandate—to evolve the organization from Account Management to Key Account Management and further into Strategic Account Management, enabling long-term partnerships, system-level impact, and scalable access solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Access & Reimbursement Strategy
• Design and execute national and state-level value strategies across public and institutional reimbursement ecosystems
• Develop account-specific access pathways for ESI, CGHS, Armed Forces, Railways, PSUs, AGI, State Schemes, and NHM
• Identify access barriers beyond pricing (eligibility, diagnostics, referral, continuity of care) in RB Accounts and build sustainable solutions
Strategic Account Management Transformation
• Lead the transition from Account Management → Key Account Management → Strategic Account Management
• Define strategic account segmentation, governance models, and engagement frameworks
• partnership-led, outcome-focused engagement with key institutions and systems
Policy & Ecosystem Engagement
• Translate health policies, clinical guidelines, and reimbursement frameworks into actionable access plans
• Support formulary inclusion, protocol adoption, and reimbursement listing through value-based narratives
• Partner closely with Franchise Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Policy, HEOR, and Value teams
Portfolio Stewardship
• Own life-cycle access planning for Oncology, Immunology, and CNS portfolios
• Collaborate to develop value dossiers, budget-impact narratives, and access playbooks
• Align clinical evidence, health economics, and public health outcomes
Institutional & Tender Enablement
• Enable Tender and Central Accounts teams with scientific and economic access frameworks
• Support RCCs, AGI’s, Central and State accounts in navigating reimbursement pathways and support tender team and value team shaping up the tender.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Act as a strategic integrator across Marketing, Medical, Value, Policy, Tender, Finance, and Field Access teams
• Drive capability building and mindset shift within Key Account teams toward strategic engagement
• Responsible for driving BP, LRFP and other operational coordination with cross-functions to shape the business planning
Experience & Capability Profile
• 3+ years in Reimbursement, Strategic Accounts, Public Market, Value Roles preferred
• Demonstrated experience in Key Account or Strategic Account transformation preferred
• Exposure to Oncology, Immunology, or CNS portfolios desirable
• Strong understanding of Indian public healthcare and reimbursement ecosystems
