We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design for the Payments pillar of Playlist. This role sits at the intersection of financial workflows, business operations, and user experience, and will shape how wellness businesses accept payments, manage money, and stay compliant—at scale. You'll own end-to-end design for payments-related experiences, working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Compliance to deliver solutions that are intuitive for operators, resilient for systems, and aligned with business outcomes.
- Own the design strategy and execution for the Payments pillar, including checkout, subscriptions, refunds, credits, invoicing, payouts, and transaction reporting
- Lead discovery and problem framing through user research, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration
- Design for scale by anticipating edge cases, unhappy paths, and operational constraints
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define scope, trade-offs, and success metrics
- Identify strategic opportunities where design can drive business growth and inspire new product directions
- Share work regularly with leaders and cross-functional partners, incorporating feedback quickly and thoughtfully
- Champion excellence in craft and product thinking, setting a high bar for quality across the organization
- Build resilient, scalable frameworks that elevate design quality and consistency across the entire product
- 6+ years of product design experience with a track record of delivering impactful, user-centered solutions
- Ability to balance ambitious vision with staged, thoughtful rollouts and see product and design leadership as intertwined
- Strong product thinking—you form rigorous hypotheses, influence team understanding, spot new opportunities, and analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to turn them into actionable recommendations
- Experience working independently to turn ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear, cohesive visions
- Skill in translating business objectives into customer-centered design opportunities that reduce friction for small and growing businesses
- Excellent communication skills—you clearly articulate rationale, trade-offs, and impact through polished prototypes, clear narratives, and strong storytelling
- Experience with global payments, tax, or regulatory considerations (nice to have)
- Familiarity with wellness, marketplace, or SMB-focused products (nice to have)
