Senior Operations Analyst, Sales Compensation

The Sales Compensation team is responsible for the accurate and timely Incentive Compensation payments for Sales payees governed by the Global Compensation Plan (GCP). The Operations area within the team supports activities related to sales quota and transaction data uploads, adjustment processing, ICM administration and reporting, and variable compensation payment submissions to Payroll teams within the operating calendar timelines, whilst adhering to SOX and other internal controls. It also provides support to the central Capability and Reporting teams.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of the Sales Compensation calculation engine (ICM application), including both front-end and back-end systems, to effectively manage process and capability-related deliverables.
• Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure quality control across assigned activities and take active measures to continuously improve standards.
• Adapt quickly to new policies or process changes and effectively communicate and implement them within the team.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports for global stakeholders by extracting and customizing data from ICM to enable accurate analysis and interpretation.
• Proactively identify data issues and liaise with the Capability team to resolve the them.
• Support the training and onboarding of new joiners on relevant processes and capabilities.
• Handle stakeholder queries relating to activities performed by the team and provide guidance to junior team members on complex queries.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts by initiating knowledge-sharing activities to bridge skill gaps.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal controls by educating team members and performing periodic compliance/control checks.
• Work independently within defined parameters, demonstrating accountability and problem-solving within the area of expertise.

Required Skills (Must have):

• Mandatory experience in Sales Compensation Processes and the Varicent Sales Compensation (ICM) solution.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience handling large volumes of data for various reports.
• Experience in data visualization and reporting using Power BI, including creating dashboards, reports, and actionable business insights from large datasets.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including SharePoint.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process automation or efficiency improvements.
• Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience collaborating with colleagues across multiple geographical locations.
• High stakeholder focus, with a strong awareness of service quality and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Capable of working within established policies, with a strong sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
