GENERAL DESCRIPTION: API architect responsible for designing, supporting, and scaling B2B integration APIs, providing hands‑on client support, and enabling high‑performance integrations through strong technical and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the architectural owner for APIs consumed by internal and external integration partners, with strong proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
  • Act as a technical point of contact for integration teams during client discussions, providing guidance on API usage, performance considerations, and best practices
  • Own end‑to‑end troubleshooting and operational support for integration APIs, including direct client engagement when required
  • Provide hands‑on support to key enterprise customers, ensuring high availability, reliability, and readiness during peak usage periods
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure APIs meet scalability, security, and performance standard
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, system architecture, and deployment processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for other team members and stakeholders
  • Stay updated with latest technologies, tools, and best practices in development, participate in knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior developers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team's goals

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

Minimum Required Education: bachelor’s degree in engineering

Minimum Required Experience: Five+ years’ relevant experience in the technology stream

Desirable Education/Experience: bachelor’s degree

  • Organize and animate requirement gathering workshops on medium / complex requirements.
  • Guide junior on simple requirements.
  • Review medium requirements.
  • Challenge medium / complex requirements.
  • Formalize medium / complex requirements and corelates requirements from main requirement.
  • Organize simple / medium requirements by business priority.
  • Reformulate requirements and identify business value.
  • Compare similar requirements from other domains / streams / past requests to challenge requirement.

Communication Skills –

  • Utilizes variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures.
  • Ability to communicate nicely in a comprehensible manner to internal customers as well as stakeholders.
  • Can describe ambiguous situations, challenges, roadblocks in a polite and elaborate manner via the spoken/written form of communication.
  • Has decent presentation skills especially while working with virtual teams.
  • Nice to have prior experience of working with virtual teams.
  • Write clearly and informatively. Is grammatically correct while framing sentences. Minimal pronunciation errors.
  • Presents organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.

Technical Competencies

Other Technical / Computer Skills -

  • Requires 5 to 7 years’ experience with .NET technologies, mainly C#
  • Requires 3 to 5 years’ experience with .NET Core and SQL Server
  • Experience with logging tool like Kibana
  • Proven experience with B2B API integrations, preferably within complex, high‑volume transaction environments
  • Strong API architecture and design skills, with the ability to create scalable, reusable, and well‑abstracted interfaces
  • Experience supporting external client integrations, including performance analysis and issue resolution
  • Exposure to EDI / Trade systems or similar integration frameworks is a plus
