Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
Location- The position will be based in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule or fully remote in India.
Summary:
The candidate will be an integral part of the product team and will support the team in formulating and executing the network strategy, driving network expansion, and supporting value realization initiatives that improve profitability and operational efficiency. The new position will be essential for driving key initiatives related to delivery of $300m NSS and $36m EBIT impact in 2026.
This role combines elements of strategic planning, business analytics, program management, and executive communication, providing exposure to high-impact initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Strategy & Expansion
- Support the formulation and periodic review of the LTL network strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Support product head/ team in carrying out assessments for network expansion: 2 Hubs and 4 mini stations planned for 2026, as well as support the 2027-2030 roadmap for product and network expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Finance, etc.) to ensure alignment and feasibility of expansion initiatives.
2. Value Realization & Profitability Improvement
- Identify profitability improvement opportunities across operations, pricing, and network design.
- Assist in program management of profitability initiatives — ensuring timely execution, tracking key milestones, and reporting performance outcomes. Facilitate cross functional collaboration.
- Develop business cases and financial models to evaluate impact, ROI, and implementation feasibility.
3. Executive Support & Communication
- Support leadership in conducting comprehensive business performance assessments; Use advanced analytics to generate insights supporting strategic decision-making.
- Support MGF LT team in crafting narratives for internal and external communication on strategic priorities and support in preparing executive-ready presentations, strategy documents, and memos for leadership discussions and reviews.

Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Advanced or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a related field
- Network design and optimization experience
- Travel is expected for 5-10% of time.

Pay Range:
The compensation range for candidates based in the United States is $180,000 to $215,000.
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
