Team: The team will be responsible for identifying, structuring, executing and monitoring investment opportunities for the credit funds. The team will maintain an ongoing engagement with various external stakeholders (advisors, issuer entities etc.) to identify emerging market trends and potential opportunities.

The candidate will be a part of the Alternative Investments (AIF) team at Franklin Templeton. The role will require comprehensive understanding of credit markets, ability to appropriately structure deals, perform diligence (across financial, business etc.) and form an independent view on the specific investment opportunity.

What are the ongoing responsibilities?

  • Credit underwriting, financial and business due diligence, management meetings, managing the internal approvals, documentation for onboarding an investment deal

  • Develop relationship with external stakeholders to get access to credit deals which fit the investment mandate.

  • Ongoing and active portfolio monitoring and timely intervention/resolution, as needed.

  • Develop deal-level and portfolio-wide dashboards

  • Regularly meet management teams of potential investee companies to understand their business model and financial requirements.

  • Maintain ongoing engagement with intermediaries (DCM etc.) to track the market landscape and potential investment opportunities.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Chartered Accountant and/or Postgraduate (Finance).

  • 5 to 10 years of credit/investment management background across rating agency, banks/NBFC, alternative investment firm.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Inquisitive and open mindset

Shift Work Timing - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM IST
