This role is a part of front office investments team which involves working closely with London and Mumbai based Impact and Private Equity team.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate primarily with onshore Catalyst Portfolio Management team for management of Catalyst funds and mandates and the broader Catalyst team for investment related tasks
- Assist with portfolio modelling, portfolio analysis and portfolio management tasks
- Responsible for core relationships, including administrators, custodians, trustees and auditors of the fund, along side the Portfolio Management team in London
- Form strong working relationships with various internal teams to ensure fund/portfolio details, trades and performance are correctly maintained and reconciled on internal systems
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate fund/portfolio information including cash balances and position reports
- Manage the pre-deal set up of assets and various lifecycle events as deals progress through pipeline to portfolio companies
- Understand the deals and transactions to facilitate smooth closing and funding of deals
- Monitor portfolio data across internal systems on a daily basis and ensure the information is reflected correctly across platforms and take initiatives to enhance data quality.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification:
- Good understanding of Fund administration, private asset servicing and trade processing
- Strong understanding of private equity markets including corporate financial structures and equity structures
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Good understanding of fund structures and standard operating features
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI. Python and data science skills preferred
- Proficiency with applications like Aladdin would be preferred
- Strong analytical skills and a logical thought process and quick learner with an ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Keen to improve the efficiency of current and future processes within the team.
- Very good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Should have the ability to collaborate in a team setting as well as work independently, with a proactive approach & working under strict deadlines
- 3-5 years relevant experience in fund administration/fund management tasks
