Do work those matters: 

Working in the Engineering Practice as the Senior Manager - Engineering Policy, Standards and Playbooks you will lead the development and implementation of engineering policies, standards, and playbooks. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that our engineering practices are consistent, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering policies, standards, and playbooks to ensure consistency and efficiency in engineering practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering standards are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering policies and standards, making adjustments as necessary to improve performance and compliance.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to ensure that our engineering practices remain cutting-edge and competitive.

  • Communicate engineering policies and standards to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring understanding and compliance.

  • Get involved in other Engineering Practice streams of work when there is capacity to support our other key deliverables.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and best practices

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering team with a focus on policy development and implementation.

  • Experience in the financial services industry or a similar highly regulated environment would be advantageous

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and raising standards.

  • Experience working with Agile ways of working, including tooling such as Jira & Confluence

  • Demonstrated risk & cost management mindset.
