Senior Manager/Director (Product Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Manager/Director Product Development (based in Pune, India) to lead one of the key engagements around offshore product engineering. This role co-owns the execution, development, and technical evolution of the product along with onshore teams.

In this role you will be responsible for turning global product strategy and market demand into working software, reusable components, demo environments, and scalable delivery assets. Our ambition for this role is for it to lead and grow multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensure delivery excellence, and actively contribute to the evolution of the product through innovation and new product development.

This role is execution-heavy and you are a senior product and engineering leader with a strong voice in roadmap refinement, feasibility assessment, and innovation initiatives.

• Own the end-to-end product development from the offshore perspective.
• Translate global product strategy and roadmap priorities into executable development plans.
• Ensure consistent implementation of architecture standards, quality benchmarks, and product principles.

2. Engineering & Team Leadership

• Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product development team in Pune
• Manage team leads and senior engineers across:
  • Integrated design systems (figma, design tokens, Storybook)
  • Frontend Engineering (React / Next.js)
  • Platform & Integration Engineering (Graph.ql, Java Spring)
  • Agentic AI devekopment (python, MCP, ACP)
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud & Salesforce B2B commerce, Shopify and CMS
  • Cross-accelerator integrations
• Establish a clear internal responsibility pyramid, delivery cadence, and performance culture.
• Coach and develop senior technical leaders and future product champions.

• Own the delivery of new product features, components, integrations, and architectural enhancements.
• Balance roadmap feature development with technical debt management, refactoring, and scalability improvements.
• Drive New-New Product Development, including:
  • Agentic Commerce
  • AI Commerce & Concierge Assistance
  • Emerging CX & Commerce capabilities driven by client demand
  • Figma make / Figma MCP integration
  • Visual testing and cross platform testing kit
• Partner with Product and Pre-Sales teams to assess feasibility, effort, and delivery models.

• Own the setup, evolution, and operation of flexible, dynamic product demo environments.
• Ensure demos can be rapidly adapted to:
  • Client-specific use cases
  • Ad-hoc pitches
  • Industry scenarios
  • Platform combinations
• Support pre-sales teams with stable, high-quality demo capabilities.
• Continuously improve demo assets based on feedback from clients.

• Work closely with:
  • Product teams
  • Technical Product Owner & Architects
  • Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering teams
  • Product Champions and Delivery Leads
• Provide transparent progress reporting, risk management, and delivery forecasting.

• Ensure product meets its performance guarantees, QA standards, and reliability benchmarks.
• Drive automation across testing, deployment, and regression.
• Establish governance for releases, versioning, and product documentation.
• Ensure offshore development aligns with global security, compliance, and architectural standards.

• 10+ years of proven experience in product engineering, platform development, or digital product leadership for global organizations.
• Proven track record leading offshore or global product development teams.
• Strong hands-on understanding of:
  • MACH principles, esp. Headless & composable architectures
  • React / Next.js ecosystems
  • API-first integrations
  • Commerce & CX platforms (especially Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
• Experience working in matrix organizations with dotted-line product ownership.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders globally.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.

• Experience with AI-driven commerce or personalization solutions.
• Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, Figma.
• Background in building accelerators or reusable platform components.
• Experience supporting global pre-sales and demo environments.
