As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the system integration, concept development, coordination from concept to production, VAVE implementation, and testing & validation activities for Angelo Po commercial kitchen equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply technical strategy and best practices, and lead successful execution of product development and engineering projects. In this role, you will continue to strengthen your technical expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s innovation and business growth.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in product engineering involving continuous engineering, testing & validation, and system integration activities.
  • Strong expertise in sheet metal design, metal stamping, forming, casting processes, and application of fundamental engineering and physics concepts.
  • Proven experience in participating in complex product development processes, including Concept Selection, DFMEA, DVP&R, and structured validation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in VAVE, including design simplification, modularization, and commodity/supplier-based cost optimization strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Creo, including creation of drawings, models, and technical specifications; experience with PDM/Windchill preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across global engineering teams and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Skills:

  • Drive execution of continuous engineering programs, including product enhancements, troubleshooting, design improvements, and lifecycle extensions.
  • Lead and contribute as a functional expert in design processes, reviews, and validation activities for components and subsystems across multiple product lines.
  • Utilize mathematical, analytical, and computer-based engineering tools to deliver innovative, reliable product solutions.
  • Apply system engineering mindset to enable system customization, supplier collaboration, manufacturing feasibility, and concurrent engineering practices.
  • Support Proof of Concepts, prototyping activities, product performance and reliability testing initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards including UL, CE; exposure to NSF standards will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to refrigeration equipment, food processing machinery, and special purpose machinery design will be beneficial.
  • Ability to prepare and review engineering documentation, technical reports, and presentations for leadership and global engineering reviews.
  • Actively participate in continuous learning, technology research, and application of emerging manufacturing processes such as metal forming, stamping, joining, and casting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, (or equivalent work experience) with 8 -10 Years (Min 5 years of exp in product development related with beverage & food processing equipment is added advantage).
  • A seasoned, result-oriented engineer who can work independently once given direction, has good rapport with coworkers, can listen, be creative, and is detailed oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs and project priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly, collaborate effectively across functions, and work both independently and in team leadership roles.
  • Maintains a good attitude, persistence, and drive focused on finding a way to accomplish the objectives. 
  • Willing to travel (local, regional, international) across innovation center, factory, supplier sites, and testing facilities. (around 30% travel may be involved).
