About the Opportunity
CIO.inc is a global CIO business technology platform, launched by ISMG, to empower technology and security leaders with credible, timely information to build technology-led platforms for sustainable business growth.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Journalist to join our editorial team focused on content creation and thought leadership for CIO.inc! This role offers a unique opportunity to shape conversations at the intersection of technology and business leadership, delivering key insights and building relationships with senior technology professionals globally.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editorial:
- Produce high-quality, relevant, and timely content, including articles, interviews, and features, in line with the editorial philosophy of the group.
- Develop content related to articles, audio/video interviews, webinars, e-newsletters, and vendor features.
- Ensure content generated in India is updated regularly and aligns with editorial calendar.
- Create and maintain a balanced content mix of 200-250 stories annually, with a 50:50 ratio of Indian and international content (adjusted towards more international content), in text and video formats (panels, solo, etc.).
- Conduct interviews with CIOs, CTOs, IT Managers, Audit & Compliance Officers, CEOs, and other senior-level leaders from organizations and vendors, extracting actionable insights.
Community Engagement & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and foster relationships with senior-level CIOs and technology leaders for video and text-based content published on the website.
- Collaborate with the social media team to build and engage with the LinkedIn community.
- Organize and moderate LinkedIn-Live sessions with senior CIOs and industry influencers on contemporary topics.
- Be a key player in larger summits, sourcing speakers, providing speaker briefings, and coordinating logistics for summits and conclaves.
- Act as a stakeholder in the conference rendition plan and drive large-scale events, including branded ones, in India.
Research & Industry Insights:
- Stay up-to-date on current industry and technology trends, as well as security regulations, guidance, and relevant legislative activities.
- Conduct research to provide meaningful insights for content creation and presentations.
- Provide editorial support to other sectors covered by ISMG.
Collaboration & Team Leadership:
- Work closely with the global editorial team and contributors across ISMG to maintain a regular and consistent output of content.
- Manage and network with other editors and writers to contribute to the CIO.inc platform.
- Regularly host roundtable discussion forums and advisory board meetings with industry leaders.
Webinars & Event Moderation:
- Curate content for webinars, including creating invites, preparing questions for panelists and speakers, and moderating sessions.
- Source speakers for webinars and events, when required.
Qualifications
- Extensive journalism experience, ideally in technology or cybersecurity.
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills with the ability to produce in-depth articles and reports.
- Proven ability to conduct insightful interviews with senior industry leaders and present findings confidently.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement and content curation, with a focus on technology and security topics.
- Knowledge of current industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Experience in hosting roundtable discussions and presenting at industry events.
