The Senior Engineer - Technology Support is responsible for automation projects, writing programs/scripts, and mentoring team members. The role includes executing project initiatives, validating outputs, and engaging in communication at various levels. It requires hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel VB.
Position Summary:
Responsible for writing programs/scripts to push bulk changes, automation of manual actions to support the operation of the exponentially growing fleet
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage different projects on automation as assigned
- Hands on experience on Python scripting, SQL, Excel VB
- Demonstrate project execution that includes writing the program, validating on the test environment, part or release full release to production
- Mentor other team members in automation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
- Must be a highly effective communicator at all levels (phone, written & verbal)
- Good interpersonal coordination skills
- Good analytical skills
- Hands on experience on Python, SQL Excel VB and the desire to develop AI & ML skills
- Experience in basic IT Software requirement/installation (Windows OS, MS-Office, MS Projects, Visio)
Additional Skills / Knowledge Preferred:
- Experience of interaction with US/Europe teams
- Experience in process and/or Power industry
- Technical knowledge in electrochemistry or Fuel cell operation (preferred but not essential)
Education:
- Bachelor's in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Energy Systems Engineering
- Master’s in the above fields is an advantage
- Certification in Python, SQL etc.
Experience: 3 - 5 years related experience in the above-mentioned fields
Reports To: Technology Support Manager in India
