Role purpose
As a Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for fully testing the product or system to ensure it functions properly and meets the business needs. The role will involve creating and implementing testing methods, recording the test results, and providing recommendations to improve software programs based on the results.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools/frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Java/Python, TestNG, JUnit, REST Assured, etc.).
  • Ensure integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify, log, and track defects to closure using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and best practices.
  • Participate in regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Provide accurate testing estimates and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
  • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.)

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • QA experience with a mix of manual and automation testing
  • Hands-on experience in Playwright,  Selenium WebDriver, API testing (Postman/RestAssured), and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience in API testing (using SOAP UI / Postman)
  • Good knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, or information technology.
