Within this critical area, the "Customer Journey Solutions" team is central to shaping its future. We make a significant contribution to the target architecture by driving a common platform, fostering growth initiatives, and optimizing processes. Our key initiatives include the operation and development of the dbCORE low-code platform for process design, creating online product sales and self-service offerings for all channels, building a dedicated product sales and service shop for easy integration, and delivering PB-wide Ident & Sign solutions.
• As a Lead Cloud / DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the engineering, automation, and reliability initiatives required to support highly available, scalable, and secure cloud‑native platforms. Operating in a hybrid DevOps + SRE capacity, you will assume leadership responsibility for designing cloud architectures, implementing CI/CD automation, guiding cloud operations, and enabling engineering teams through best‑in‑class tooling and infrastructure practices.
• You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud platform teams across the bank, ensuring robust engineering standards, automated deployment pipelines, and reliable, observable systems. In this role, you will contribute to technical strategy, mentor engineers, and champion modern engineering practices for cloud transformation programs.

Your key responsibilities

• Cloud Engineering & Automation
  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UrbanCode Deploy (UCD).
  • Lead the development of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, enabling reproducible, secure cloud provisioning across environments.
  • Develop systems, utilities, and scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of applications by applying SRE best practices such as observability, automation, error budgets, and incident management.
  • Drive root cause analysis and remediation for production incidents; support on call rotation leadership where required.
  • Partner with application teams to coach them on reliability and operational excellence, enabling adoption of self-service cloud capabilities.
• Cloud Platform Expertise & Architecture
  • Architect, build, and optimize cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with exposure to Azure/AWS as required.
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Dockerfiles.
  • Support multi-platform application architectures and guide teams in designing cloud native solutions.
• DevOps & Engineering Leadership
  • Set technical direction for DevOps, cloud engineering, and SRE initiatives across teams.
  • Mentor, guide, and upskill junior and mid-level cloud/DevOps engineers, driving engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with platform, security, and development teams to enforce best practices in SDLC, cloud architecture, security, and compliance.
• Tooling & Development Ecosystem
  • Work with development platforms such as Bitbucket, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira, and GitHub.
  • Apply strong software engineering fundamentals across development lifecycles, SDLC models, and modern DevOps frameworks.
  • Use at least one core development/scripting language such as Java, NodeJS/TypeScript, Python, or Shell.

Your skills and experience

• Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Deep technical skills in at least one core programming environment: Java, JavaScript/NodeJS/TypeScript, Python, Shell scripting.
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD and automation tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UCD.
  • Strong understanding of Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and Helm based clustering strategies.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP); exposure to Azure/AWS is a plus.
  • Infrastructure as code proficiency using Terraform.
  • Experience with multi-platform application architectures and software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standard DevOps toolchains, including Bitbucket, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira.
• Soft Skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with strong independence and initiative.
  • Ability to coach and influence engineering teams on modern DevOps and SRE practices.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a focus on strategic problem solving and continuous improvement.
