Senior Database Developer in SQL and .NET

ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Senior Database Developer in SQL and .NET to join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).

Overview:

Assist with the development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of several databases used by the world's leading asset managers.  Responsible for maintaining database integrity and performance, troubleshooting problems, and providing information to internal product teams.  Contribute to the effort to further automate data ingestion, transformation, deployment, and reporting functions.

Shift hours: 12 PM to 9 PM (IST)

Responsibilities:

• Review, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain financial databases

• Create and maintain existing ETL processes for integration of new data sources

• Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions including schemas, triggers, stored procedures, views, and user defined functions.

• Optimize SQL Server database tables and stored procedures where necessary

• Troubleshoot data errors by coordinating between business users, data team (located across our global offices), and third-party vendors

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis using product, client, and third-party data

• Enhance and maintain C# data collection and research applications

• Port legacy applications into updated web platforms and frameworks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• At least 5+ years of programming experience in a non-academic environment in Microsoft-SQL Server (T-SQL), C# and .NET frameworks

• Strong database design and development skills

• Experience developing reliable and efficient data pipeline solutions.

• Experience with MVC, Web APIs

• Experience with SVN/GIT, Issue tracking tools

• Experience with Data Analysis

• Good understanding of SOLID, DRY and KISS principles and how to apply them in

• Effective communication skills and experience working in an agile development environment

• Ability to work independently as well as within small teams

• Positive and collaborative attitude, a willingness to learn about the asset management industry.

Good to have:

• Experience with SSIS and CLR

• Hands-on experience with .NET WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET development

• Experience with Entity Framework, LINQ, ADO.NET.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Typescript, Bootstrap, React JS.

• Experience and understanding of financial data
