Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Specialist to join our Financial Systems Tech Support - CAT IT Team.
The incumbent would be responsible for designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems. He/she work on integrating data from various sources, ensuring that the data is accessible, consistent, and secure. He/she also develop processes for data modeling, mining, and production, collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that drive business decisions. Thus, candidates for this role will require a breadth of skills.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, PSN Office
What you will have

• Participate in the design and implementation of enterprise data model and metadata structures
• Architecting and provide business solutions.
• Articulate solution options and participate in technology evaluation and recommendations.
• Applies broader view to the solutions to support adoption of standard practices and reusability.
• Business case development, business process mapping, strategic planning.
• The individual must possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This role also requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong database knowledge and very good at SQLs.
• Lead the issue resolution process with globally located Caterpillar IT support teams and external partners.
• Share functional knowledge of IT solutions with business partners to support their operational performance.
• Collect and document functional requirements for new projects or system enhancements.
• Lead IT implementation projects - coordinate the delivery of work requests with various globally located Caterpillar IT teams and external partners.
• Assist in the development and alignment of the IT roadmaps with the IT and Business strategy.

What You Will Get:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or Equivalent education with at least 8 Years of experience (MCA, B.E / B Tech / M Tech)
• Candidate should be versed with all components of architecture stack such as Business / Process, Application, Information & Integration (Data) And Technology.
• In-depth understanding of Cloud(Azure and/or AWS) technology concepts, Kubernetes, Containers, Networking, Micro-Services etc
• Experience on Chatbot Development
• Experience in the use of MVC design patterns and an in-depth knowledge on the principles of REST APIs
• Experience with at least one Front End Programming Language like Angular, ReactJs etc.
• Demonstrated capability to leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.
• Experience in solution development and deployment of large-scale implementations.
• Leadership, Team working, Inter-personal and Influential skills.
• Strong Application Programming knowledge and ERP experience.
• Deep expertise in one to many areas including software engineering, security, data interchange, data management, network, database, servers, storage, collaboration, or other technical areas.
• Experience in databases such as Microsoft SQL or Oracle or Snowflake.
• Managing business change, project management methods and tools, etc.
• In addition, the incumbent should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization

Agile Development: Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.
Level Working Knowledge: • Explains a specific agile process and its associated checkpoints and deliverables. • Works with a specific agile development methodology. • Interprets metrics used to measure progress and effectiveness. • Defines key selection and qualifying criteria for projects suitable for agile development. • Applies major tools and techniques associated with the specific methodology.
