You’ll shape product and business strategy through rigorous quantitative analysis, experimentation, and statistical thinking. You’ll turn complex data into clear recommendations that improve decision quality, reduce decision latency, and guide roadmap and investment decisions.
Drive product and business decisions by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Build scalable analytics systems and decision frameworks that help teams understand what changed, determine what to do next, and learn whether an action worked.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, define success metrics, and measure the impact of initiatives.
Improve decision quality by applying statistical analysis, experimentation, and quantitative methods to large and complex datasets.
Influence product strategy, investment decisions, and roadmaps through reliable analysis and clear communication with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
You'll work from our Singapore office five days a week.
What we're looking forEssentialsAt least five years of industry experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
A degree in Computer Science, a quantitative discipline, or a related field.
Expert-level experience with SQL and Python, R, or comparable scripting and statistical tools.
Strong experience applying statistical analysis, experimentation, and quantitative methods to drive data-informed decisions.
Experience working with large and complex datasets to solve ambiguous business or product problems.
Experience communicating analytical findings and recommendations to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
A track record of influencing product strategy, investment decisions, or roadmaps through data.
Strong understanding of data modelling and schema design.
Experience in technology, financial services, fintech, or another high-growth environment.
Experience building scalable analytics systems, experimentation frameworks, or decision-support infrastructure.
Experience applying machine learning or AI to product, business, or customer problems.
You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.
You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
You’re comfortable operating across time zones with a globally distributed team, including colleagues based in APAC and EMEA.
You can advocate hard for a position, then fully support the team's direction once a call is made.
You simplify complexity rather than hiding behind it.
Data Science at Airwallex is evolving from individual analyses and standalone models into scalable systems of decision and action. We bring together two complementary capabilities: DS Analytics, which improves decision quality and reduces decision latency, and DS Algorithm, which directly optimises product and business outcomes in real time.
