Job Description

Responsibilities:
● Own the CI/CD pipeline, and build out testing and deployment workflows.
● Define usage standards for engineering teams, communicating best practices and updates to the teams as necessary.
● Monitor performance of pipelines and different GCP services and continuously look out
for cost optimization.
● Closely work with data engineers to understand the data, pipelines and services in the data engineering/warehousing architecture.
● Monitor controls for GCP security procedures and ensure team compliance across all data environments.
● Implement code quality checks and unit test cases in the code repositories.
● Set a tech debt tolerance threshold, and monitor tech debt accrual regularly. Support the
teams to clear off technical debts within acceptable timeframes. Provide monthly reports
to the data leadership team on statuses.
● Continuously improve the alerting and monitoring frameworks that benefits the team and
improves stakeholder satisfaction.
● Propose and develop automation and reusable modules and frameworks for the data
pipelines.

● Responsibility for PEN testing with 3rd parties, including setting scope for tests,
organising exercises, reporting results, and completing recommended actions.
● Responsibility for DR exercises, in collaboration with the development teams.
● Researching emerging technologies, understanding their potential impact to continuously improve our tech stack.

Requirements:
● 8+ years of relevant experience.
● Strong experience in Python and usage of Github.
● Google Cloud Platform Expertise.
● Good hands-on in implementing CI/CD and automation.
● Familiarity with Data Engineering Concepts.
