Develop and enhance SAP ABAP solutions across S/4HANA implementations, including reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements, forms, debugging, performance tuning, migration, and production support. Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to create technical solutions, lead design workshops, conduct code reviews and testing, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior developers.
Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned SAP ABAP professional to join its S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for end‑to‑end ABAP development, enhancements, interface creation, debugging, and production support across multiple S/4HANA implementations. You will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring high performance and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance ABAP objects (reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements, forms) in S/4HANA.
- Perform code reviews and enforce SAP coding standards.
- Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments.
- Provide production support and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain data migration and integration interfaces (IDocs, RFC, OData).
- Optimize performance of ABAP programs and conduct tuning activities.
- Lead technical design workshops and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in testing activities including unit, integration, and UAT.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.
- 7+ years of SAP ABAP experience, preferably on S/4HANA.
- Strong expertise in ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, enhancements, ALE/IDocs, RFC, and OData.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP NetWeaver, Eclipse ADT, Web Dynpro; SAPUI5 knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration (Brownfield/Greenfield) projects.
- Good understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD) and related business processes.
- Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel onsite as required.
