Job Description:Partners with Finance and Indirect Tax Business Groups to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as support Vertex, Oracle Fusion Tax applications. Works with Business Groups to define their global IT requirements for e-Invoicing globally and to analyze appropriate solutions. Manages projects from inception to completion with matrix, global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with Indirect tax business stakeholders(globally) to analyze, define and document business processes within and across cross functional areas
- Works with Business Groups to define their global technology roadmaps. Manages projects from inception to completion with matrix, global teams.
- Has a strong focus on gathering core requirements, beyond stated requirements for Indirect Tax.
- Strong technical and analytical skills on problem solving and suggest solutions
- Experience with Vertex tax engine and integrations with other applications/Billing platform.
- Participate in project throughout their lifecycle to ensure that the requirements are met – to include making tax rules configurations, reviewing test cases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Working knowledge of indirect taxes – including US sales taxes, EU value-added taxes and other global transaction taxes
- Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders for complex Tax requirements.
- Understand product taxability, tax exemption certificate and license rules by jurisdiction and provide guidance
- Develop as-is and to-be process flows to support the design and development of solutions
- Managing and coordinating VAT, Service tax audits support to Business stakeholders
- Partners with Vertex, Oracle & E-Invoicing Vendors for Tax compliance
- Conduct System Integration Testing, work collaboratively with team members support business during UAT
- Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross functional teams through resolution
- Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities
- Manages multiple application releases and projects
- Executes medium-scale vendor evaluations, pricing negotiations and software acquisitions
- Prepares management communications and gets stakeholder input for recommendations
Qualifications:
- Having at least total 10+ years of working experience
- Indirect tax experience for large companies & consolidated groups, which includes tax accounting and compliance
- Well versed with tax legislations and compliance
- Experience on Merger & Acquisition is highly desirable
- Strong expertise in Vertex & Oracle Cloud Fusion Tax (7+ years)
- Good Knowledge of Oracle Apps Finance (EBS) modules
- Strong exposure to AGIS, EB Tax, Payables and Revenue management
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries is preferred, should be able to write basic extracts
- Should have ability to work independently on Project deliverables
- Bachelors in information systems, Business or related field
