Senior Business Intelligence Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing data and analytics team. In this role, you will transform complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to design, develop, and optimize dashboards, reports, and data models that deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade BI solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting capabilities.
- Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and impactful data visualizations and analytical solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and deliver meaningful insights.
- Develop and optimize data models, ETL processes, and reporting structures to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using modern BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business risks.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting solutions.
- Establish and promote BI development standards, best practices, and documentation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues while continuously improving existing analytics solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and support the development of the organization's BI capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Warehouse development.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and relational database design.
- Strong experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics, automation, or data transformation.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and data science methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management.
- Experience within industries such as Financial Services, FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, or Technology.
- Previous experience mentoring analysts, BI developers, or technical team members.
