Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

  • Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.

To be successful as a " Senior Business Analyst ", you should have experience with:

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Middle Office - Settlement Applications used in India Broking Backoffice. [Application Name: CLASS/Dolphin]
  • Knowledge of : Trade life cycle for settlements, regulatory reporting, Contract, Billing, Interfaces with Front office and Data Integration With wealth and PMS platforms.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in India Broking Back Office Application Trade processing , trade settlement,  pay-in pay-out processes, client reports sent from Backoffice Applications, regulatory reports sent from broking Backoffice application. [Application Name: CLASS/Dolphin].
  • Knowledge in using regulatory portals. Ability to understand regulatory circulars and translate them into business requirement.
  • Critical implementation: MTF, UDIFF and API implementation
  • Experience in Front Office - Trading Application [Application Name: NEST] –Order Management System (OMS) and Risk Management System (RMS) workflows across segments - Cash, Futures, Options and Currency. Risk Management System (RMS) rules.
  • Experience in Depository Back office - [Application Name: DpSecure] - DP front office NSDL DPM –Knowledge of DP workflows and regulations / understanding of NSDL transaction and settlement reconciliations, Billing module.
     

Technical Skills:

  • Having Working knowledge on platforms UNIX, AWS, Microsoft
  • Experience in writing SQL queries, executing Stored procedures, troubleshooting queries in MSSQL, Oracle
  • Understanding of change management standards, Confluence and Jira management.
  • Audit management – Should be able to work independently on Regulatory audits and able to close within timeline.
