Team: The Senior Business Analyst will be part of the Data Platforms team under Data Operations within the ESG Research division.
Role: The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will play an integral part in improving data platforms to enhance the data research processes and systems to collect ESG data. The SBA works as a business advisor whose primary role is to support the Product Owner by analyzing, facilitating dialogue, and getting the optimal solution for a business need. Candidate need to be able to gather, analyze and define user requirements, develop user stories, and prioritize product features. Success in this role requires a combination of analytical and creative thinking, strong process and project management skills, and exceptional collaboration and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the vision of Data Platforms across data research teams teams ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Be an integral part of Scrum Squad and work closely with Product owner and Technology team
  • Business analysis and requirement definition
  • Conduct workshops for improving processes and systems, reducing efforts to collect essential data and optimizing the data research process
  • Define business requirement and draft the user stories
  • Participate in backlog refinement calls, sprint planning, and other scrum ceremonies to ensure alignment and progress
  • Work closely with Product owner to create the backlog and help in setting up prioritization
  • Collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria for deployment
  • Negotiation and decision-making when several courses of action are possible keeping the vision in mind
  • Business process testing and implementation management
  • Planning, execution and reporting of business process tests and usability evaluations
  • Co-ordinating, monitoring and reporting of UAT test results ensuring issues are resolved and requirements are met
  • Project Management capability
  • Own the project end to end from requirement gathering till deployment
  • Report status of the project to senior stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities of automation and track the project scope and timeline
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, evaluate solutions, and implement effective strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manages and mentor business analysts as appropriate


Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in business analysis, process mapping, process improvement, and project management
  • Experience working in Agile
  • Master's degree or a specialization, coursework or certification in business analysis or ESG
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, under tight timelines while maintaining high accuracy and output
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple teams at various levels
  • Expertise in business process management from ideation to implementation
  • Proven project management track record to deliver projects within the specified time, budget and quality
  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including high proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint and modern software solutions
  • Knowledge of SQL querying is preferred, and exposure to Python will be an advantage
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment
