Role description:
Join Arcadis and help deliver world-leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. As a Senior BIM Modeler – Highways, you’ll play a key role in producing, detailing, and verifying BIM models and highway drawings for UK/CA/AUS projects. You’ll work independently on complex tasks, coach and support colleagues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, a passion for digital innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability.
Role accountabilities:
- Produce, detail, and verify BIM models and highway drawings (2D/3D), including General arrangements, Plan & profile, cross-sections, standard details, Site Clearance, corridors for highway projects both 2D and 3D independently.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design challenges and ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Engage proactively with Arcadis regional offices and project teams, building strong professional relationships.
- Liaise with design professionals and BIM Managers/Coordinators, ensuring effective communication and feedback.
- Adhere to BIM Execution Plans, project workflows, and content standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D/OpenRoads, and CDE platforms like ProjectWise and ACC.
- Contribute to technical improvements, automation (scripting, LISP, VBA, .NET, Dynamo), and adoption of new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assist junior staff when required.
- Maintain high standards of safety, sustainability, and compliance with Arcadis values and behaviors.
- Support knowledge sharing, upskilling, and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering/ BE Civil from a recognized University.
- 4+ years’ relevant experience.
- Strong Experience in AutoCAD/ MicroStation, OpenRoads/ Civil3D and ProjectWise/ ACC.
