About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to design, develop, and enhance high-performance eCommerce solutions. As a senior developer, you will play a key role in implementing backend functionalities, ensuring scalability, optimizing performance, and mentoring junior team members.
This role combines architecture design, project delivery, and ongoing support for our Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions. If you are passionate about development, especially SFCC, and thrive in collaborative global environments, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Development and Customization:

• Design, implement, and maintain customizations and backend solutions within Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, integrations with third-party systems, and custom SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) pipelines.

Platform Expertise:

• Manage and extend SFCC’s Business Manager configurations, custom objects, and system jobs.
• Implement and manage third-party integrations, including payment gateways, analytics, and CRM systems.

Code Quality and Performance:

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following SFCC best practices.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure platform stability and efficiency.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to deliver seamless eCommerce solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and releases.

Mentorship:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Lead efforts in improving development processes and implementing coding standards.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (Computer Science or Information Science preferred).
• Strong academic record, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5 to 8 years of experience with at least 4 years as an SFCC developer..
• Strong understanding of SFCC architecture, including pipelines, cartridges, and the Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and server-side development.
• High aptitude thinking and a knack for effective communication is desired.
• Detail oriented, strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Familiarity with tools like Jenkins/Circle CI, Jira, GitHub and familiarity with eCommerce frameworks is good to have.
