Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or lakes, ensuring high data quality and integrity.

  • Amazon Quicksight and AWS Expertise: Utilize Amazon Quicksight for data visualization and analytics and leverage AWS services such as S3, EC2, EMR, Redshift, and Glue to design and manage robust data architectures.

  • Data Quality: Implement data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy with other requirements.

  • Collaboration and Communication: This role requires close collaboration with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and IT teams to understand data needs and provide tailored data structures. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

  • Problem-Solving and Analytics: Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Requirements and Skills

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on designing dashboards with Amazon Quicksight.

    • Advanced knowledge of Python and Linux shell scripting.

    • Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL, Postgres, Oracle).

    • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL tools, and data modeling.

    • Good to have exposure to PowerBI/Tableau for different business personas.

    • Good to have an experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, EMR, Redshift, Glue).
       

  • Analytics and Visualization:

    • Expertise in Amazon Quicksight for data visualization and analytics.

    • Ability to develop dashboards and reports that are used by senior leadership.
       

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Strong business acumen and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or a related field.

  • Additional Experience: Experience with business intelligence and visualization software, and working with technical and non-technical internal customers to drive analytics and reporting.

  • Certifications: AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate or similar certifications are a plus.
