Job Summary:
- As a Senior Associate - Business Resiliency in the Transformation team, you will join a newly created team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of resiliency for the Securities Services business.
- This role is key to ensuring that the business can withstand and recover from disruptions, minimizing the impact to customers, the firm, market integrity, and financial stability.
- You will closely collaborate across various teams to ensure adherence to firmwide resiliency standards and regulations, and promote best practices within the Securities Services Industry..
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure standardization / consistency across Securities Services Operations and Securities Services Business resulting from changes in regulatory requirements or Firmwide led changes; alignment to standards and policies
- Partner with Plan Managers and Essential Service Managers to ensure material changes, concerns raised are closed on time and plans and Essential Services Summaries are approved on/before deadlines
- Collaborate with the plan managers to implement the testing requirements across the following areas: Staff, Site, CPOF (critical points of failure) assets, Third party, Applications and Simulations.
- Conduct comprehensive quality control checks on all plans and Essential Services by critically evaluating the appropriateness of the content in resiliency plans to enhance their effectiveness.
- Ensure test events are documented in ERMA and closed out effectively with conclusion records, and concerns are tracked to remediation in accordance with required deadlines.
- Drive Business Resiliency agenda for CIB SSO and SSB Cross LOBs globally. Proactively manage resiliency risks to incorporate appropriate mitigations and controls
- Support in responding to any incident / crisis event effectively and completing after action review report. Develop a cohesive and effective partnership with business and operations
- Lead / Contribute to various process improvement resiliency initiatives across the Globe/ Region/ Location.
- Support in preparation for Regulatory exams / Audits and maintain Governance and Control over the hygiene metrics of the functions within the Securities Services organization
- Schedule and lead monthly governance forums to highlight upcoming deliverables and asks around resiliency and create accountability for the hygiene metrics
- Provide metrics for the Securities Services senior management governance forums for the Business Control Committee and Risk and Controls meetings etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with minimum 7 years of experience in financial services operational experience
- Successful track record of delivering results, working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
- Demonstrated controls awareness through experience in operations
- Detail oriented with the ability to work both as a part of a team and independently
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to multiple levels of management
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyze results and provide valuable insights
- Strong time management and multitasking ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Business Resiliency, Operational & Crisis Management experience preferred
- Experience in an investment banking Resiliency, Regulatory, Compliance or Operational team is desirable
