Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual required to work on a variety of projects in the Risk team. The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a range of environments and operating systems, utilizing a large and varied toolset to build/enhance Business Intelligence and Data Integration tools. The BI/DI developer will need to establish and maintain connections with technology and business groups within the organization so good oral and written communication skills are essential. The role is a combination of BAU activities servicing the needs of internal clients of the current product set and developing new tools to improve and enhance the team’s offerings.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide second level support to the client support team, users of the data integration tools

Ensure the smooth running of the automated DI processes, logging service requests and escalating to other technology support groups where necessary

Specify, design and implement performance, robustness and reliability enhancements to the Risk DI/BI toolset

Research, design and implement new integration processes to interface with client data systems
Required Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication

Ability to quickly learn new software

Tools/OS/Technologies: Windows/Unix/Linux. Java, C++, VBA, python, Perl, shell scripts, FTP/SFTP. Ideal though non-essential: cloud technologies

Knowledge of some knowledge of financial asset classes, finance terminology, awareness of market data systems, technology interfaces and ideally through non-essential – exposure to risk systems, risk analytics and risk regulatory reporting
