The role act as liaisons between different stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and business to execute product strategy. They maintain and manage the product backlog, or the prioritized list of requirements for future product development.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Incumbents in this role may also be responsible for modernization and integration efforts.
- Product Owners work very closely with Product Managers to create user stories.
- They author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
- They participate in sprint planning, perform market research and competitive analysis leading to the iterative development of the product.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of AI/ML product strategy and roadmap from concept to deployment
- Work with senior product leadership and business stakeholders to understand the roadmap, product strategy, and business goals.
- Own and prioritize product backlog based on business value, capacity, and ROI
- Partner with engineering and data science teams in Agile environment to deliver well defined Epics, Features and User Stories
- Define and track KPIs for model performance, business impact, and user adoption
- Communicate product progress, risks, and trade-offs to executive leadership
- Collaborate with AI governance team to ensure compliance and production readiness
- Work with data teams on data sourcing, quality, and model lifecycle management
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform decisions
- Mentor junior product owners and foster innovation culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business, or related field
- Experience of working in a Product Owner/ Business Analyst role in Asset Management /Financial services industry
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML products and financial industry
- Proven track record of delivering data-driven products from concept to production
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model evaluation, and deployment
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools
- Understanding of AWS cloud platforms and data infrastructure
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience defining metrics and using data to drive product decisions
- Ability to manage ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete information
- Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads
Preferred Qualifications
- Product management certification (CSPO, CPO, or similar)
- Experience with working on Agentic AI workflows
