Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees risk-taking activities and assesses risks and issues independently of the front line units. We establish and maintain the enterprise risk management framework that ensures the ability to consistently identify, measure, monitor, control and report material aggregate risks.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Senior Analyst – Wholesale Portfolio Monitoring - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Credit Portfolio Sr Analyst - C12) based in Mumbai, India. The Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for the below activities.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Responsibilities:
Early Warning Signal (EWS) Framework Governance:
- Drive execution of the EWS-RFA (Red Flag Account) Program by working with various stake holders including Fraud Monitoring Group (FMG) in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the Program.
- Coordinate with feeder units and review units for inputs and responses
- Monitor notices from specific Law Enforcement Agencies at a monthly frequency
- Examine EWS alerts through an independent assessment of information shared. Seek additional information from relevant stakeholders in order to conduct situation and information analysis and form an opinion regarding possible tagging of account as RFA.
- Maintain program documents relating to EWS/Fraud on an ongoing basis
Committee Materials:
- Coordinate Fraud Monitoring Group (FMG) meetings on a fortnightly frequency and manage the governance requirements including quorum, meeting materials, minutes and follow-ups.
- Prepare EWS-related meeting materials/updates for seniors and various governance committees and manage follow-ups
Regulatory
- Manage regulatory submissions for EWS for quarterly reporting, annual onsite regulatory inspection and ad hoc submissions for RFAs
- Prepare EWS updates for regulator
- Perform gap assessment on new regulatory requirements for EWS
System-related activities
- Liaise with various Technology teams and feeder units on the EWS automation project for requirement gathering, preparation of BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), user acceptance testing and production testing.
- Monitor performance of EWS application performance on an ongoing basis and coordinate with the application vendor and Technology teams for solutions
- User testing of new/modified functionalities in the EWS application
- Monitor EUC (End User Computing) controls and liaise with Technology teams for automation of the EUCs
- Manage system related updates for EWS
Other Activities
- Coordinate MCA (Manager’s Control Assessment) testing for EWS for feeder units and Portfolio Monitoring Unit
- Liaise with auditors (internal/external) on all matters relating to EWS
- Manage all due diligence requirements for third-party vendors (forensic auditors) and coordinate with the vendors and internal teams (Procurement, Productivity, Finance etc.) for specific assignments.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of local regulations
- Ability to remain organized and focused in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
- Ability to prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency
- Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
