The Senior Analyst - Operations ROI will be responsible for handling incoming requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized entities. The role involves ensuring strict adherence to privacy laws and institutional policies to maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information. The individual will manage and organize patient records while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data. Additionally, they will verify proper authorization before releasing any records, acting as a gatekeeper to protect sensitive information. The position also requires strong problem-solving skills to resolve inconsistencies in patient files and address issues related to record access efficiently.

Core responsibilities

  • Processing requests: Handle incoming requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized entities.
  • Ensuring compliance: Adhere strictly to privacy laws and institutional policies to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Maintaining records: Manage and organize patient records and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data.
  • Verifying authorization: Act as a gatekeeper to verify that the person requesting the information has proper authorization before releasing any records.
  • Problem-solving: Resolve inconsistencies in patient files and address issues related to record access.

Essential skills

  • Attention to detail: Meticulous accuracy is required to maintain the integrity of sensitive patient information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology: An understanding of medical terms is crucial for managing patient records accurately.
  • Computer literacy: Proficiency in using computer systems is necessary for managing electronic health records.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to find solutions for inconsistencies and access issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaboration with other healthcare staff, legal teams, and patients is often required.

Qualification:

  • Any non-technical bachelor’s degree (BSC, B-Pharma, B. Com, BA, Nursing, Life Science etc.)
  • Experience: Senior Analyst - 3 to 6 years in any US Healthcare Process like Release of Information, Claims Adjudication/Adjustment, Medical Billing, RCM etc. Healthcare document retrieval experience will be an added advantage.
