How You Will Contribute
As an AI Innovation Engineer in our Products Team, you will be a key part of researching, building, and advancing AI/ML capabilities that power future-facing products. You’ll work on proof of concept (POC) implementations, model development, large language model integrations, agentic AI workflows, and developing scalable AI infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with product leadership, cross-functional data engineers / scientists, and other
stakeholders to bring innovative AI solutions from research into production and into product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and delivery of production-ready agentic AI solutions for client projects in life sciences
- Architect and build multi-agent systems using LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen from requirements to deployment
- Mentor and upskill junior AI engineers, establishing best practices and technical standards
- Own technical delivery in close collaboration with internal product teams - partner with Learning Strategists, Digital Solutions lead, and other product team members to understand solution requirements and execute AI implementations; may occasionally interface with external clients as needed
- Establish AI infrastructure from ground up - observability, monitoring, deployment pipelines
- Build POCs to validate approaches, then rapidly move to production
- Research emerging techniques when relevant to client needs
Education, Experience, Training, and Knowledge
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering).
Experience (2-5 years)
- 4-7+ years AI/ML experience with minimum 1-2 years building production multi-agent systems
- Proven experience with production agentic frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen)
- Demonstrated leadership: Led projects, mentored engineers, made architectural decisions
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Can work independently with minimal guidance
- Experience taking POCs to production at speed
- Flexible to maintain working hours with significant overlap (about 50%) with EST timezone to support synchronous collaboration with US-based product and leadership teams
Skills & Abilities
- Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and theoretical computer science.
- Curiosity and passion for innovation: actively follows research papers, conferences, latest trends in AI/ML.
- Ability to search, analyze, and integrate existing AI models/frameworks to build new solutions.
- Good system design skills: capable of designing scalable, modular, maintainable AI systems capable of production deployment.
- Experience implementing observability, logging/monitoring/tracing for models / agents.
- Good communicator: able to explain technical methods, trade-offs, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple research / engineering tasks.
Preferred Qualifications / Additional Assets
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare/life sciences)
- Built agent systems from scratch (not just integration)
- Led small teams or been sole technical owner
- Track record of rapid delivery in fast-paced environments
