Manage the global end-to-end pass-through accounting process across entities and geographies. Responsibilities include transaction accounting, revenue recognition support, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial reporting, audit support, internal controls, process documentation, and ERP transformation initiatives. The role partners with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, Shared Services, and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the global end-to-end pass-through accounting process, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of pass-through transactions across multiple entities and geographies. This role will report to Global AP Manager and partner closely with Business Finance, Operations, Tax, Treasury, Shared Services, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the global pass-through accounting process from transaction initiation through financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of pass-through revenues, costs, receivables, payables, and related accruals.
- Monitor transaction flows across multiple ERP systems and legal entities.
- Support and coordinate Revenue Team in revenue recognition process for Passthrough transactions.
- Drive period-end close activities related to pass-through transactions, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, in case applicable.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely.
- Analyze account variances and investigate unusual fluctuations.
- Support financial statement reporting and management reporting requirements.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of pass-through balances reported in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Identify control gaps and implement corrective actions to strengthen governance.
- Collaborate with Finance, Business Operations, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Shared Service teams globally.
- Act as the primary point of contact for pass-through accounting-related inquiries.
- Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and accounting policies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6 to 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end accounting processes and month-end close activities.
- Strong understanding of pass-through transaction accounting.
- Experience in shared services or global business services environment preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial analysis.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred.
- Familiarity with reporting and reconciliation tools.
