Senior 3D Product Designer – Emerging Technologies (AR/VR, GenAI, Robotics)

We are looking for a Senior 3D Product Designer to drive and deliver senior executive-level communications, internal programs, employee engagement, and special projects, and to function as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor.  

You will join an innovation studio focused on building cutting-edge, cross-industry prototypes using emerging technologies such as AR/VR, GenAI, robotics, and physical AI. You’ll collaborate with a remote team to research, ideate, and develop interactive 3D visualizations and AI-driven experiences that reimagine the future of various industries. A typical day includes receiving design objectives from a Lead or Technical Designer, working independently in tools like Unreal Engine, Figma, Mural, Visual Studio Code, and AI-based visualization platforms, and presenting work during daily design reviews. Each project lasts around 2–3 months, from concept ideation (vision decks, storyboards, and concept videos) through prototype creation.

• Design and develop 3D visualizations, prototypes, and simulations for immersive AR/VR experiences.

• Collaborate with technical and creative leads to translate visionary concepts into data-driven, AI-powered designs.

• Create and present storytelling visuals (PowerPoint decks, videos, and animations) that communicate futuristic product or industry concepts.

• Integrate AI models and data layers into interactive prototypes to demonstrate business value at scale.

• Apply expertise in lighting, camera placement, world-building, and animation to produce high-fidelity design outputs.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions, research emerging technologies, and contribute to concept ideation.

• Work in an agile, iterative environment and participate in daily design reviews to refine content quality.

• Ensure projects meet deadlines and maintain a consistent design standard across deliverables.

• 8–10+ years of experience in 3D development, visualization, or prototype/game design.

• Proven track record building 3D, VR, or AR applications using tools such as Unreal Engine, Figma, and Mural.

• Experience designing and deploying interactive environments or simulations using modern frameworks or engines.

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, storytelling through visuals, and human-centered design.

• Proficiency in C#, C++, HTML, or similar technologies for building interactive content.

• Hands-on experience in end-to-end project delivery using iterative or agile methodologies.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience leveraging Generative AI tools for visual design, video, or audio creation.

• Strong portfolio showcasing 3D lighting, camera composition, storytelling, and data visualization.

• Background in UI/UX design, game design, or interactive media.

• Familiarity with robotics, spatial computing, or physical AI integration.

• Prior experience collaborating with large-scale clients or global innovation teams.

• Experience presenting creative concepts to executives or external customers through visual storytelling.

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $100,000 - $110,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
