Role Description
Loans / lending commitments are often a key component of the relationships held by Deutsche Bank with its corporate and financial institutional clients. Relationship loans are typically issued to support the generation of franchise revenues booked by the product lines across the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank divisions.
Strategic Corporate Lending (“SCL”) provides governance around the investment of loan capital into these client relationships and risk manages the approved final hold positions down to pre-defined thresholds set by Credit Risk Management. SCL owns the loan risk that it is hedging within its predominantly senior, unsecured asset class Institutional and Corporate Credit portfolio.
SCL hedges the final hold positions down to the pre-defined thresholds using single name CDS and the issuance of CLOs referencing the underlying loan risk. SCL Client Analytics team plays a key role in supporting the loan execution team by preparing Capital Allocation Forum (CAF) memos, which facilitate lending decision-making by SCL regional heads. In addition, the team develops and provides various tools to monitor cross-selling activities and assess the profitability of relationship lending.

Your key responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive business selection memoranda, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative criteria to support informed, case-by-case decisions on Relationship lending.
Assist in compiling and producing quarterly portfolio reports, facilitating ongoing monitoring of performance across various divisions, regions, industries, and countries.
Independently manage and address ongoing client analysis and supporting in new analytical requests from senior management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives and uphold best practices in portfolio management.
Contribute to continuous improvement by automating existing processes, driving operational efficiency within the team.
Your skills and experience
Possesses robust quantitative and analytical abilities, demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft product suites; familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau is considered an asset.
Maintains meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the generation of audit-ready documentation and actively pursuing ongoing process enhancements.
Demonstrates outstanding communication and collaboration skills, engaging proactively with cross-functional teams
