Role Overview:

  • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our Retail Sales team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and increasing market share through strategic engagement with distributors, including IMFDs, banks, private wealth firms, Aggregators & Retail Distributors. This role demands strong relationship-building capabilities and a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders to grow the business at Franklin Templeton.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Relationship Manager?
  • Manage and grow a defined set of distributor relationships in the Mumbai market.

  • Drive sales through the IMFD and / or National Distributor Channels including Banks, Retail Distributors & Aggregators.

  • Achieve annual targets across Gross Sales, Net Sales, SIPs, and Market Share.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the distribution network.

  • Collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders to align sales strategies with organizational goals.

  • Track market trends, competitive activities, and business opportunities.

  • Monitoring of Sales Metrics – MIS, Mathematics of Retail, Budgets, Activities, Call Reports, Weekly management reports, etc. 

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

  • Support additional strategic initiatives and projects as assigned.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? 
  • Graduate; MBA/Management degree preferred.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Mutual Fund sales in Mumbai with strong ND and IMFD channel expertise.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.

  • NISM VA & NISM Series XIII certifications are mandatory.

  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English & Hindi.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the organization’s values and culture.
