Job Title:Sales Manager -Agriculture -India

Summary:Momentive is looking for a sales professional in the Agriculture sector to lead new business development. This role extends beyond account management, requiring deep knowledge of agricultural products and a thorough understanding of farmers' needs .The focus will be on driving growth through acquiring new customers and fostering innovations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working towards agreed yearly sales plan to meet or exceed set sales targets.
  • Preparing forecasts (revenue) on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Having frequent customer (direct and distributors) visits of existing customers in sales region
  • Searching for and acquisition of new sales prospective within the sales region by using several sources such as Internet, visiting exhibitions, dedicated magazines, etc. (Cold calling)
  • Working on global Key-Account customers within the sales region
  • Supporting distributors with their customer projects
  • Giving presentations of Momentive portfolio to prospective customers or at external and internal trainings
  • Supporting internal Logistics-, Finance and Quality-department to solve issues the customers have (Stake holder Logistics/Finance/Quality)
  • Supporting Legal department to find agreements with customers on T&C, NDA, etc.
  • Managing all projects (direct or via distribution) – understand specification of customer, making sure right material is chosen on time by ADE, making sure communication between Momentive and customer is done in a good way in requested timing, understanding price requirements from customer, coordinate samplings internally or at equipment-manufacturer together with ADE, doing all necessary documentation (e.g. visit reports) and make sure full project history will be available in CRM system
  • Utilizing SAP to run business on daily basis.
  • Doing demand planning of customers/distributors in Arkeva-tool

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Post Graduate in Agriculture (BSc Agri )/ Masters in Agriculture(Msc Agri) OR chemical engineering & business administration (Preferred) with experience in a commercial role within the chemical industry
  • Minimum 10 years B2B  sales experience in the Agrochemical industry, (Adjuvants , Defoamers ,Surfactants, pesticides, Fertilisers etc ).
  • Good technical understanding of complex customer requirements
  • Ideally experience in working with CRM system & proficient in MS excel/ powerpoint /SAP etc .
  • Strong Sales skills with high customer orientation
  • High willingness to explore new things and create new business models.
  • Self-confident communicator with high customer orientation.
  • Fluent min in English & Hindi (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis 50%..
