Role Overview
The PUE Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving commercial sales performance and ensuring full compliance with awarded grant commitments for productive use energy (PUE) technologies (such as solar water pumping, agricultural processing, and cold chain solutions). In this role, you will lead and manage the sales team to achieve target unit deployments, track grant milestones, and deliver high-quality progress and reporting to grant programs and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grant Compliance & Reporting
Grant Milestone Delivery: Ensure all field sales activities, unit deployments, and target numbers align directly with the scope, timelines, and commitments of awarded grants.
Donor & Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit clear, timely narrative and quantitative reports (monthly, quarterly, or milestone-based) as required by grant agreements.
Grant Sales Tracking: Monitor and verify that closed sales qualify under specific grant eligibility criteria, tracking baseline customer data and deployment locations.
Field Data Verification: Ensure accurate collection of customer verification data in the field to support donor audit requirements.
2. Team Leadership & Sales Direction
Manage & Mentor: Supervise and direct Productive Use Sales Executives, setting clear targets, reviewing sales funnels, and coaching reps to hit unit volumes tied to grant goals.
Territory Strategy: Define focus geographic zones, target agricultural value chains (such as horticulture, dairy, or grain), and buyer profiles to optimize sales coverage.
KPI & Pipeline Accountability: Track team metrics spanning lead generation, conversion rates, turnaround time for equipment delivery, and customer onboarding quality.
3. Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Channels
Institutional Alliances: Build and manage relationships with agricultural cooperatives, aggregators, outgrower schemes, microfinance partners, and local government channels to drive lead conversion.
Financing Integration: Coordinate customer payment structures (such as Pay-As-You-Go / PAYGO or partner micro-loans) to accelerate customer acquisition under grant frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
Total Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience combining sales supervision, field coordination, and project support within renewable energy, agricultural technology, or productive assets.
Grant & Reporting Experience: Hands-on experience tracking field targets and preparing progress reports for grant-funded or donor-supported projects.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience managing, leading, or coordinating field sales representatives or project teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Agricultural Economics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Core Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to supervise sales pipelines and drive field targets.
Strong organization and data collection skills for donor verification.
Practical understanding of rural agricultural markets, farmer groups, and PAYGO
Good interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
