Role Overview

The Sales & Business Development Executive will play a critical role in driving revenue growth from our Mumbai headquarters. This position requires a consultative B2B sales professional who can engage with CFOs, HR Heads, Compliance Officers, Tax Heads, and senior management stakeholders.

You will be responsible for building pipeline, converting strategic accounts, and contributing to expansion in the legal, tax, payroll, and compliance ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Lead Generation & Market Expansion

  • Identify new business opportunities within large corporates, mid-sized enterprises, and compliance-driven industries.
  • Prospect through structured outbound outreach, LinkedIn engagement, referrals, industry events, and targeted campaigns.
  • Develop account penetration strategies for high-value enterprise prospects.
  • Build a qualified and sustainable sales pipeline aligned with quarterly targets.

2. Enterprise Client Engagement

  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand regulatory challenges related to TDS, income tax, payroll compliance, statutory filings, and related obligations.
  • Build relationships with CXOs and senior functional heads.
  • Position our solutions as risk-mitigation and efficiency-enhancement platforms rather than transactional services.
  • Drive long-term client engagement and renewals.

3. Consultative Selling & Product Demonstrations

  • Deliver structured product demonstrations showcasing automation capabilities, compliance tracking systems, reporting dashboards, and AI-driven workflows.
  • Prepare customized commercial proposals and ROI-driven value justifications.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals in alignment with revenue objectives.

4. Revenue Ownership & Sales Execution

  • Own and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Monitor pipeline velocity, conversion metrics, and deal progression.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across existing client accounts.
  • Support strategic partnerships and channel development initiatives.

5. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Track developments in LegalTech, ComplianceTech, and RegTech markets.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and pricing models.
  • Provide structured feedback to leadership for product refinement and positioning strategies.

6. CRM & Reporting Discipline

  • Maintain accurate sales activity logs, forecasting data, and opportunity tracking in CRM.
  • Submit weekly performance dashboards and pipeline reviews.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making across the sales function.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing to refine messaging and campaign targeting.
  • Coordinate with Product and Technology teams to align customer requirements with platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success for seamless onboarding and retention.

Candidate Profile

  • 2–5 years of B2B sales experience (preferably SaaS, LegalTech, Compliance, Taxation, Payroll, or Enterprise Software).
  • Experience selling to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High analytical capability with the ability to articulate ROI.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-scaling environment.
  • Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate.

Performance Metrics (Indicative)

  • Monthly/Quarterly revenue target achievement.
  • Pipeline generation targets.
  • Conversion rate from qualified lead to closure.
  • Average deal size growth.
  • Client retention and upsell contribution.
