Position Summary
Spencer Stuart is seeking two professionals for the newly created role of Risk Analyst. These positions will be critical in developing and enhancing our global Risk function, which is strategically positioned in the Legal department. Reporting directly to a new role responsible for risk within the Legal team, the Risk Analysts will play an essential role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact the Firm.

Key Responsibilities
Policy Development and Management

Collaborate with team members to develop, update, and manage the Firm’s policies and procedures.

Conduct research to identify best practices and trends regarding policies and procedures.
Risk Analysis and Mitigation

Assist in the design and implementation of best practices for vendor management, risk tracking, and risk mitigation strategies.

Monitor industry risk trends and provide insights to the team.
Know Your Client (KYC)

Perform comprehensive online research on potential and existing clients or vendors, examining sanctions, reputational issues, legal concerns, and negative press.

Utilize the Firm’s KYC Framework to analyze data and assess risk profiles effectively.

Track findings for reporting purposes and monitor emerging trends.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree, ideally in risk management, business administration, law or a related field
Experience
-
Previous experience in risk analysis, compliance, or a similar field within a professional services firm is advantageous.

Familiarity with risk analysis tools and online research tools, such as Refinitiv, Factiva, and CapitalIQ is a plus.
Skills

Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional language is beneficial.

Ability to produce clear, concise, structured, and business-friendly emails, reports, policies, and procedures.

Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple time-sensitive projects independently and collaboratively.
