Your Role:

  • Liaison between line manager and project manager and helps to add bookings in OpenAir, support with entering names for bookings, schedule calls to provide support to PM/LM
    • The resource analyst can confirm with PM/Line Manager which resource will be assigned to a study and add in a tentative booking in OpenAir. Project Analytics can continue to set up initial estimates for bookings at the beginning of studies. The Resource Analyst will only make changes to bookings to add team members' names to the drop-down menu for PMs to use for task assignments.
  • Use OpenAir reports and PowerBI dashboards to assist branch heads with assessing capacity by reviewing bookings for awarded studies and soft bookings for potential studies during regularly scheduled meetings
  • Work with financial analyst to provide feedback about bookings to PM on monthly basis to ensure projections are realistic and can be used for forecasting
    • Highlight trends between booked versus billed hours versus budgeted hours
    • look to see if bookings have been revised for team members that are transitioned on/off studies
    • follow up with PMs to ensure that bookings have been updated after change orders are executed
    • Research anomalies in scheduling
  • Help line managers determine if someone is over or under utilized by reviewing bookings per person across all studies by running recurring reports and distributing on a regular basis with exceptions highlighted
  • Support onboarding/train new employees, line managers and PMs about bookings based on their roles' responsibilities
  • Run reports, input data, support Project Analytics as needed
  • Maintain resource rates (Price/Loaded Cost/Cost/Blended) in the WBS by working with Finance
  • Ensure WBS hours per role are kept up to date for use in the BSN
  • Support Project Analytics with the maintenance of Time Reporting Guidelines
  • Maintain database of projects, indications, budgets, hours and units
  • Track task level budget information in the database and collect Project Manager’s approval for task price and hours
  • Provide support for monthly collection of earned value data
  • Use PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor project progress
  • Support the development of new PowerBI dashboards to analyze project trends and make recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Create and deliver presentations and reports on analytics insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, focusing on clinical trial project performance, financial profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to financial team, such as budget development, profitability analysis, financial forecasting for clinical trial projects.
  • Help the financial team and project to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. This could involve analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and proposing solutions.
  • Prepares high quality documentation that follows established guidelines.
  • All other relevant duties as assigned.

Your Profile:

  • Education: bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of the clinical trial industry, including an understanding of clinical trial project management, financial aspects, and key performance indicators.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and precision in analytical outputs.

Preferred Experience:

  • PowerBI, Power Query certifications.
  • SQL query knowledge
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and the ability to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains in clinical trial project delivery.
