Job Title: Release Engineer –Data Analytics and Reporting Enablement COE
Location: Bangalore
Business & Team: Data Analytics and Reporting Enablement COE is federated delivery platform in Group finance responsible for building data pipelines for provisioning data from wide variety of sources. We consist of Design, Development, Technical Analysis, and Project Management chapters and are perfectly equipped. We provide services across multiple BUs, including Retail banking, Business Banking, Institutional Banking, Risk and Treasury and Group Finance and have very close relationships with all stakeholders.
Impact & contribution: As a DARe data delivery release engineer you will work very closely with data engineer peers to successfully deploy complex, scalable and resilient data pipeline solutions to production utilizing CI/CD tooling.
Key areas of focus and contribution would be as follows:

Participate in E2E delivery lifecycle and being responsible for environment set up, testing, building the delivery artefacts and supervising the successful release of the solution.

Create and Maintain relevant documentations and SOPs for our processes and identifying areas that could benefit from more robust documentation.

Contribute to embedding the DevSecOps capabilities across the team with a view to highlighting opportunities to streamline / automate our current E2E delivery practices

Ensure compliance with data governance in lower environments, enhance build, test and execute workflow to allow for more iterative delivery.

Build value adding relationships within DARe design / engineering / TA chapters and across supporting platform teams onshore and offshore. Such engagements will be undertaken under PACE / agile delivery frameworks
Reporting lines: The role position reports into Accounting Executive Manager – Finance Controller
Roles & Responsibilities:

Apply deployment mechanisms for CI/CD pipelines and Release Management on data platforms.

Engagement of all release management stakeholder to deploy the finished products into production successfully.

Help to Develop highly reliable data pipelines and data platforms with comprehensive test coverage.

Provide technical assistance to other members of the team.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and in delivery of products.

Complete data engineering duties aligned to core concepts of data design, preparation, transformation, and load.

Actively participate and contribute to our Agile framework for iterative delivery.
Skills & Experience:
-
5 years+ of experience in similar technologies and fields
-
Experience in working in PACE / Agile delivery function
-
Possess hands-on experience in very large data warehouse environment

Well versed in CI/CD methodology, process flow and hands on experience with TeamCity, Octopusy, GitHub.

Knowledge and experience in Data Vault, Dimensional Models and Entity Relationship Models

Commendable skills in Teradata, TCF and various ETL frameworks

Database optimisation and tuning using T-SQL, etc.

Experience in development of scripts (Python, Unix, Windows, etc).

Education Qualification: University degree or certificates / diplomas in related fields
