About the role

As HR Manager for Talent, Organizational Effectiveness & Performance (APAC), you will play a critical role in enabling Haleon to thrive. You will be accountable for supporting our business leaders to deliver the people strategy in a way that’s meaningful for their own market or function, and as part of your role you’ll do what matters most, going beyond and keeping it human right across the organisation.

The role will lead & manage the talent, capability and performance agenda for the APAC region to ensure alignment with the region’s accelerated growth plans. Talent and Capabilities are one of the 3 key pillars. Linked to talent, this role will also oversee operational effectiveness efforts for both the business and HR. Accountable for leveraging internal and external insight and best practices to ensure an effective and high performing APAC organisation, utilising best in class workforce insights to create a consumer grade employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead talent planning & partnership, L&D: Lead talent planning through regional talent and succession reviews, translate the APAC talent strategy into action-orientated plans, ensuring future talent needs are understood, integrated and planned for, such as the signature Big Bet Talent Programs at Region and BU levels. Lead change management of new talent approach across people leaders & HR leads by providing external lens, providing point of contact to enterprise team; connecting programme management of enterprise leadership/ L&D programmes into the business & talent development needs.
  • Manage talent data: Own the talent data for APAC Critical roles, enabling data led talent decisions and actions through having talent KPIs, leading and lagging. Ensure accurate data analysis and informed data observations for leadership team talent sessions; data risk management and escalation.
  • Lead future talent development: Lead on future talent programmes, driving change towards industry recognised emerging and early talent programmes to meet needs of business and individuals; partner APAC Talent Acquisition team in promoting Haleon APAC investment in talent programmes to support EVP ambition and external credibility.
  • Act as APAC HR’s data champion, with strong understanding of Consumer and the APAC business to utilise digital insights in the context of the organisation; accountable for bringing pragmatic, simple and predictive solutions focused on the business and performance. Acting as a key connection between the APAC HR team and the Central HR DDA team to champion the use of forward-looking digital insights to diagnose issues, inform people strategy and drive business performance.
  • Leverage best practice, internally and externally, to bringing innovative leading-edge methods and trends that enable leaders to fully engage their people to improve organisational performance. Ensuring talent and workforce planning initiatives and measures are best in class, meaningful and realistic.
  • Support APAC on Key Annual Performance & Reward Cycle, as well as other key HR programs and processes, including performance reviews – IPTc & missed calibrations, annual/ ad hoc pay reviews, manager One80 surveys, culture, and engagement planning for the region, including partnering with Global stakeholders.
  • Manage cadence of APAC HR plan, coordinating key actions in partnership with BU HRBLs, periodically reviewing key performance indicators and milestones.
  • Support HR Talent & capability: building capability of HR colleagues to enable the team to be fast and proactive, including APAC HR Capability curriculum and roll out. Anchor the HR Talent Review for APAC HR.
  • Lead Regional HR projects and act as APAC point of contact for global HR projects (e.g. HR Transformation, Separation/Integration etc).

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or professional certification in related discipline (e.g., HR, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership, Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in Talent Management, DDA, organisational behaviour, employee experience, change and development.
  • Experience of operating in an international, world-class highly matrixed global company, working across different countries and cultures with a diverse range of populations.
  • Data driven, using information to inform decisions and solve problems.
  • Consumer Products experience is highly preferred (e.g. FMCG industry)
  • Demonstrated learning agility and organisational skills, with the ability to deal with complexity in a fast-paced, matrix working environment.
  • Self-starter and natural drive to implement and follow through on commitments.
