Role description - Regional Business Manager - Baking (Account Manager)

  • Management/steering responsibilities
    • Develop the account to reach business goals and high customer satisfaction
    • Develop joint account plan involving internal key stakeholders and customer
    • Provide input for financial processes
    • Propose new solutions
    • Provide input to IGM and Global Marketing in terms of e.g. general account trends, competition, industry dynamics
  • Operational day-to-day responsibilities
    • Establish and drive account teams
    • Coordinate internal stakeholders /mobilize the Novozymes organization (including key stakeholders)
    • Ensure close dialogue with Supply Operations (CSR & Demand planning) with respect to order handling and accurate demand plans
    • Handling customer complaints
    • Develop and maintain close relationships with customers
    • Turn business, industry development and customer needs into sales opportunities
    • Proactively identify and drive new opportunities, drive opportunities and pipeline management (you could combine opportunity and threat management) and develop action plans to deliver/mitigate
    • Identify competitive threats at accounts and inform by registering relevant information in Salesforce and follow-up on planned measures. Ensure mitigating actions are taken to minimize impact of threat
    • Install a high level of customer ownership and industry focus
    • Responsible for archiving customer information, including data and secure it is filed appropriately in Salesforce/SAP
    • Utilize customer and insight-based sales approach
  • Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree, preferably in chemical or biochemical sciences specialization.
  • Experience required:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant job experience in Sales/Marketing / Technical sales preferably in Food and beverage ingredients and B2B companies.
  • Prior account management experience with demonstrated sales pipeline management abilities
  • Interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and relate to customers and colleagues of different backgrounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend travel
