Quality Assurance Engineer II

 Position Summary: 

The Quality Assurance Engineer II position at CapitalCloud, A Bottomline company, is a challenging and rewarding one.  In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing user needs, participating in developing a test strategy, writing test cases, and developing test automation scripts/framework to support continuous integration.  You will need to work with developers and other QA engineers in defining an optimal automation plan as per product release timelines. You will have an opportunity to learn new automation tools and propose the same for usage in future automation framework development. 

This position is based at our Bangalore, India office. 

Responsibilities: 

• Work with the QAA team and Development/Product Managers in an Agile (scrum) environment to automate testing of new features and non-functional requirements (e.g. performance)  

• Review automation code and provide suggestions.  

• Develop test automation scripts and, along with maintaining and enhancing the automation test framework, support a continuous integration environment with automated smoke and regression test suite. 

• Analyse user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. 

• Work closely with developers and other QA engineers to discuss defects and resolutions. 

• Utilise appropriate testing tools for both front-end and back-end Quality Assurance 

• Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and software releases, including coordinating test automation schedules, environments, and configuration requirements for assigned testing activities and provide feedback to internal and external clients. 

• Participate in release testing. 

• Assist in the estimation and planning of future work within a Scrum project framework.  

Experience: 

• 3-6 years of experience in automation framework development for Web applications and API. 

Required Skills: 

• Strong Knowledge of API contract-based, automation, & Security testing. 

• Experience in automation tools/framework (Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG and Cucumber). 

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured 

• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java. 

• Knowledge of Cucumber/Serenity-BDD. 

• Ability to perform automated testing against a web application UI. 

• Ability to perform automated testing against RESTful services. 

• Test reporting knowledge and review, using TestNG or Report Portal. 

• Perform regression and functional user acceptance testing of systems with UAT sign-off. 

• The ability to estimate effort, make and meet commitments is required. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Working knowledge of performance testing, stress testing, penetration testing using industry standard tools such as NeoLoad and JMeter, etc. 

• Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab and Jenkins. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Ability to read, write and analyse SQL database queries. 

• Working knowledge and experience in GitLab CI/CD Pipelines. 

• Acting as a Scrum Master or any Scrum Master related certification.
